Four years since becoming a stills/unit photographer. How did I got into the industry? I was given an opportunity. Working on a Netflix event in Mexico City, I photographed Joel Barrios, who at the moment was the Visual Communication Manager for Netflix Latin America. He loved the portrait I made of him. Joel later emailed me, asked for a portfolio and if I was interested in doing stills/unit for a TV show. I had no idea what it meant or what to put on my portfolio, but in less than 1hr sent what he asked for, two days later I was on my first production. When I switched countries, the office from USA recommended me with Netflix UK and such started my journey working in London.
One of my strongest assets as a stills is being reliable, efficient, professional and deliver incredible images. Having working with studios in the UK, USA and Mexico, had provided me with an international approach to the work. I understand the fast pace and creativity to deliver the images, I am passionate about the TV and Film industry, and will always highlight with my photography the amazing work cast, directors, locations, DOP, grips, costume, makeup, sound, etc. Put to make the screen come to life. Every show I step on, I feel excited and grateful to be a part of it, though I will always be friendly and approachable my style on set is more quiet and discreet. Cuatro años desde que me convertí en foto fija ¿Cómo llegué a la industria? Me dieron una oportunidad. Trabajando en un evento de Netflix en la Ciudad de México, fotografié a Joel Barrios, quien en ese momento era el Gerente de Comunicación Visual de Netflix Latinoamérica. Le encantó el retrato que hice de él. Más tarde, Joel me envió un correo pidiendo un portafolio y si estaba interesada en hacer foto fija para un programa de televisión. No tenía idea de qué significaba o qué poner en mi portafolio, pero en menos de 1 hora envié lo que pidió, dos días después estaba en mi primera producción. Cuando cambié de país, la oficina de USA me recomendó Netflix Reino Unido y así comencé trabajando en Londres.
Uno de mis puntos fuertes como fotofija es ser confiable, eficiente, profesional y ofrecer imágenes increíbles. Haber trabajado con estudios en el Reino Unido, USA y México me ha brindado un enfoque internacional. Entiendo el ritmo acelerado y la creatividad para entregar las imágenes, soy apasionada de la industria de la televisión y el cine, y siempre exaltaré con mi fotografía el increíble trabajo del elenco, directores, locaciones, DOP, grips, vestuario, maquillaje, sonido, etc. Para que la pantalla cobre vida. Cada set que piso, me siento emocionada y agradecido de ser parte de él, aunque siempre seré amable y accesible, mi estilo en el set es más tranquilo y discreto. Pero levantando la voz si es necesario para conseguir los materiales que ocupo.
